Ticket Prices

by Pauline Go

Getting tickets to a major league baseball game can be quite expensive. This is especially true if you want to see a team play that is a perennial powerhouse. When it comes down to it getting tickets is all about what team you want to see.

For example, if you want to go to a Pittsburgh Pirates game you can probably do so any day of the week. Sure, there are games that get sold out thanks to special promotions. But for the most part you can get into any Pirates game for the low price of $9 or so.

But on the other end of things you may want to go to a New York Yankees game. Simply put you cannot do this by walking up to the box office. Every Yankees game is sold out, and if you want tickets you are going to have to do a bit more work. Not to mention the fact that you will have to pay a lot more money. This is the price you must pay if you want to go to a Yankees game.
There are many teams that fall into both categories. If you are lucky you cheer for a team that is easy to see, and will not break the bank.

Overall, ticket prices are on the rise every year all over the league. As long as there are baseball fans to pay the prices, the tickets will always increase slightly each year. But it is all worth while to see your favorite team play.
