It seems as if we are never ready for the inevitable day that we have to put a bathing suit on. Holidays, vacations and warm weather just sneak up on us and before we know it, we have to wear alot less clothing then we are used to. If you are struggling with your weight, this can be a particularly stressful time. The following suggestions will help you to ease into bathing suit season and help you to look great, no matter how big or small your body is.
1. Exercise is a smart option and one that includes cardiovascular activities will help you to burn fat and increase your stamina. If you need for your arms and shoulders to look great, try the following movement. It won't take you more then 5 minutes.
-Put your hands on your on your bathroom bureau (the area
near your sink). Place them a bit wider then shoulders
width apart.
-Take 2 large steps back and place your feet a little wider
then shoulders width apart.
-Stand on your toes. Your body should be tilting slightly
towards the sink.
-Straighten your body out by tucking your backside in and
sticking your chest out. Your body should be 1 straight line.
-Lower yourself slowly, as if doing a push-up and then press
yourself back up. Keep the movement slow and fluid.
-Do as many as you can. Incorporate this into your morning
or evening routine and your arms and shoulders will look
sexy and toned.
2. Make wise choices with the clothing that you wear over your bathing suit. For the ladies, there are beautiful sarongs that will match your suit and allow you to show a little (or alot!) of leg so that you can still look sexy without revealing your hips or backside. Top that off with a gauzy button up top and keep a few buttons un-buttoned.
Men can always look great by putting on a t-shirt that has the school or branch of the military that they go to or went to. Even better, try wearing a funny t-shirt or a loud button up print to show that you have a sense of humor or style. We all know that big men with alot of personality can pull off looking sexy.
3. When you go to the beach, pool or lake, bring your self-confidence. If you don't have much, fake it. People read the energy that you send off more then how you actually look. Posture yourself as a winner and believe it and others will as well.
4. A bit of a tan always makes everyone look better. Try some of the new self-tanning creams. They are much better then they were a few years ago.
