Short for web log, blogs are the coolest thing since the invention of the diary. How could you not love the ability to write an article about what your dog had for dinner and share it with the world? Blogs give you the ability to share with everyone online your thoughts on everything from ash trays to zoology. The truly great thing about the internet is no matter what topic you pick, there is thousands, quite possibly, millions of people that have the exact same interest. I have been on the internet for 10 years, just recently I discovered that I actually enjoy writing articles. It seems to come pretty easy to me, it is just a matter of doing it. Blogs have made millions of people instant authors. The funny thing about it is, some of the blogs that are out there are very interesting. You can really feel the creativity of the owner. Who would have thought that we could make a passive income writing about the events and topics of our lives. With google and millions of other companies willing to pay for space on your blog, it's a dream come true. Myspace hit the scene and took the whole blog thing up a notch, they got the teenagers hooked on it. That is a sure formula for success. Anytime teenagers find something that is cool or the "it" thing, the people shelling out the product stand to make tons of cash. Especially if the product is exclusive to them. Going forward, blogs are going to be a vital part of the internet for everyone involved, more and more companies are using them, celebrities are and always will blog. Mark Cuban, the millionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks, is a well documented blogger. By the way, as of this writing his blog is ranked under 10,000 with Alexa, but it does not have any ads or adsense on the site. Talk about not needing the money. Todd C.
